This week, we figured we would take a step back from subject matter relating to me being Transgender or a lesbian, and take a deeper look into what makes me... me.
We all have those little quirks and habits that make us uniquely ourselves. The things we do without thinking, that feel completely normal to us, but might raise an eyebrow from others. In this podcast episode, I dove deep into these personal idiosyncrasies that make me who I am.
The idea for this episode came to me after Dee commented on something I did. I then fell into a mental journey of my life and thought about all the quirky little things that are perfectly normal to me, but may be odd to others. And I will add, once this list was compiled, I read it to Dee and she agreed with every single one.
It wasn't until I typed this list out that I realized I had so many odd things I did involved food. That was a wee bit of a surprise to me. But it makes sense because of my passion for food and cooking. Some I've been doing since I was a childling, and some I've picked up along the way into adulthood.
No matter what they are, these idiosyncrasies are what make us human—the little behaviors and preferences that might seem strange to others but feel completely natural to us. They're the unique fingerprints of our personalities, shaped by experiences, preferences, and sometimes inexplicable quirks of our brains. So, whether you also do some of the odd stuff I do, or you have your own list of things you do that make others look at you funny, embrace your weird. It's what makes you uniquely you. And you're Be-YOU-tiful just as you are.
Thanks for the therapy. I'll be talking with you again real soon. Until then, Toodles!
