I am an over-50 US Army Veteran. I’m also a Whovian, Browncoat, who knows all who wander are not lost. I know the ways of the force, and when I drink, it's Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. I assemble when called. I have a raging LEGO addiction. I know how to Time Warp. I know who the Kwisatz Haderach is. And the answer to everything is 42.
3 Interesting facts:
fact 1:
I've always had a passion for decks of cards. I don't know why I was drawn to them. I guess it was all the beautiful and interesting designs.
No matter where I go, I always have at least one deck with me.
The weird part is that I hate gambling, and I totally suck at poker. However, I do love playing Solitaire, my family's version of Rummy where we don't keep score, and a game called Tripoly.
Currently, I have a collection of over 115 decks of cards, mostly Bicycle brand decks.
Fact 2:
I don't like wearing a wristwatch. I've always found them uncomfortable.
I do like wearing, or mostly carrying, a pocket watch. I currently have 18 or 19. They must have Roman numerals on the face and no batteries.
Like my passion for decks of cards, I think pocket watches are beautiful.
Fact 3:
I have a huge weakness for office supplies. I cannot help it. Even though I don't need a single thing, I'll still go to an office supply store.
As an additional fact:
I believe my office supplies addiction contributes to the fact that I'm a bit of a pen snob.
I'm extremely picky about the pens I use. I hate gel pens, and I only use black ink unless I'm writing in my personal journal.
My favorite stick pen is a Paper Mate InkJoy 100 1.0M. However, most of the pens I write with are refillable with a Schmidt Refill P 900 M.
Yup, I'm a nerd.
